Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury

Mt. Benedict Cemetery is managed by The Catholic Cemetery Association of Boston.  Memorial Day Masses are held each year at Mt. Benedict and New Calvary Cemeteries, all are welcome to attend. St. Mary’s is the original Cemetery of the Boston Catholic Cemetery Association. Incorporated in 1851 as the “Catholic Cemetery Association in Dorchester.” The name was changed in 1877 to the “Boston Catholic Cemetery Association.” The corporation was founded by 215 original members for the purpose of establishing and perpetuating a place for the burial of Catholics.
