Adding a date or name to an existing headstone
When a loved one joins a family stone, we add their final date on-site, matched to the lettering that is already there.
When a husband, wife, or family member passes and their name is already carved on the stone with a birth year, the final date still needs to be added. We do this work at the graveside, so the memorial never has to leave the cemetery. We match the existing font, size, and depth so the new lettering looks like it was always part of the stone.

Pricing: Lettering is priced by the number and size of the characters. Send us what you need added and we will give you a firm price before any work begins. Timing: most date additions are completed within a few weeks, weather permitting. If you have a service or unveiling date in mind, tell us and we will do our best to meet it.

Do I need to know the lot number?
It helps immensely, but if you know the cemetery and the family name, we can usually locate the stone.
Will the new date match the old lettering?
Yes. Matching the font, size, and depth is the whole point of on-site lettering, so the addition blends in. Occasionally there may be some differences, but it is extremely rare, and we will discuss any production concerns with you.
Do you handle the cemetery paperwork?
Yes. Permissions and approvals are part of the service. You do not need to coordinate with the cemetery yourself.
Do I have to be there?
No. We complete the work on-site and can send you a photo when it is done.
